Would you like to save a television program for later, watch it while traveling on the train or do you have a slow internet connection?
No problem. Mediathek allows you to simply, easily and quickly download TV programs to your Mac.
Depending on available bandwidth you can set how many TV programs you want to download simultaneously.

Channels + Subscriptions

Never miss another TV program: In Mediatheck there are channels for a wide variety of programs and topics which are regularly updated, adding new programs when they become available.

The new subscribe feature now enables you to subscribe to a channel at the click of a mouse and in the future you'll be notified when new programs become available. And if you don't want to receive any further notifications, just uncheck the checkbox at the bottom of the window to unsubscribe.

A wide range of programs

Mediathek supports the program offered by a large number of German language broadcasters, including ARD, ZDF, 3sat, NDR, SWR, WDR, ARTE and Schweizer Fernsehen (Swiss television).

Search

The integrated search feature enables you to quickly find a specific program or all of the programs matching a keyword. Support for automatic completion means that you'll get suggestions for possible matching programs and similar search terms as you type.

Streaming via QuickTime or VLC

Immediately play lots of programs via streaming without having to download them first - without Flash, in fullscreen and some even in HD (provided enough bandwidth is available).
